Google Maps Engine Lite (beta)

Google has a new GIS like mapping tool called Google Maps Engine Lite. It makes it really easy to import data from a fusion table, CSV, TSV, or XLSX files. It is designed similar to ARC Explorer , with less menus and without the lag. Here is an example of a map created with data entered into a fusion table. This is a nice free and easy to use tool for students to quickly create custom map layers, and import data.

I was introduced to nice tool this morning. It has the potential to be quite useful. It's been around for a while, but seems like it could be a nice tool
